| An unmoderated list for members of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) and others interested in the goals and objectives of the Society. The goal of the Society is to develop the scientific and technical means for the protection, maintenance, and restoration of life on this planet - its species, its ecological and evolutionary processes, and its particular total environment. The list will also serve as a forum for discussion of the multidisciplinary aspects of conservation biology, the interaction of science and society in conservation policy and action, the relationship between maintaining biodiversity and sustainable development, and to exchange information on SCB activities, job opportunities and scholarly research.
