Bellanet General Discussion List

BELLANET-L is open to anyone with ideas, questions or comments for, or about Bellanet. Bellanet is an initiative to work with the development community to use information and communication technologies (ICT) more effectively to broaden collaboration, increase participation and transparency of action and diffuse lessons learned. Bellanet works in partnership with Collaborative Initiatives and specific Projects. It helps others to use ICTs for planning dialogues, and accessing and disseminating information.

It is funded by a consortium of development assistance agencies committed to working together using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in innovative ways to increase their relevance, effectiveness and efficiency. Bellanet works in collaboration with donors, donor-funded initiatives, ICT capacity-building initiatives and stakeholders. It's mandate is to work in a consultative role. The Bellanet approach is to support the development of distributed capacity. Bellanet is not a direct provider of ICT services, nor is it a funding agency.
