The World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC) maintains this list for discussion and postings of issues relating to the trade in wildlife and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). There will be postings of CITES Notifications and Resolutions as they are issued by CITES, together with other relevant information. The WCMC has had over 12 years' experience in dealing with wildlife trade issues and maintains a database of all reported trade in CITES-listed species on behalf of the CITES Secretariat. This computer database is the largest of its kind, currently holding over 2 million records on trade in wildlife species and their derivative products dating back to 1975.
