| The Earth Negotiations Bulletin is an independent reporting service that provides daily coverage of negotiations on environment and development at the United Nations. It is published by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD). The Bulletin is a one-page, two sided "desktop" publication that is distributed each day to participants at UN negotiations related to environment and development. The Earth Negotiations Bulletin is unique in its ability to present to both educated observers and to the participants an intelligent and
balanced overview of selected multilateral negotiations. The Bulletin has received high praise from diplomats, United Nations staff, government officials, non-government organizations, the business community, media and the academic community for its objective and comprehensive presentation of the facts.
The Earth Negotiations Bulletin is distributed to any electronic mail address anywhere in the world, moments after each issue is finished. Your e-mail address will be added automatically to the list and you will begin receiving each and every issue that is published. The ENB is distributed in two formats directly to your e-mail box:
1) A text
version (called "ASCII") that can be read by any computer;
2) A special graphic version using the Adobe Acrobat
"Portable Document Format (PDF)" that will allow you to
print out the ENB exactly as it is distributed at the
negotiations each morning and as it arrives in the mail.

- by electronic conference. The ENB is uploaded to several electronic conferences on the computer networks that make up the Association
for Progressive Communications (APC), a coalition of independent, nongovernmental and mostly non- profit computer network systems
cooperating to provide networking and information-sharing tools worldwide. All issues of the Earth Negotiations Bulletin can be found in
the conference "enb.library"
and issues specific to a given conference or negotiation can be found in the electronic conference
established for that meeting. For example, for the daily and
summary issues from the Second Conference of the Parties to
the Convention on Biological Diversity, look in the
conference .

For the PDF version, you will receive each ENB as a binary file, sent as a MIME

copy of the freely distributed Adobe Acrobat Reader
