infoDev-L
Information for Development Program

The Information for Development Program (infoDev) is a global, multilateral grant program managed by the World Bank which supports the use of information technology in development. Starting in April 1999, infoDev-L will be an announcement-only list. Subscribers are invited to remain subscribed to infoDev-L in the short run in order to receive announcements as further planned changes are announced and implemented.

It operates in cooperation with the infoDev Forum which contains information about the infoDev Initiative and infoDev Projects. The Forum is intended to enable the transfer and sharing of knowledge of good policy and best practices, and to facilitate access to human resources and information for donors, proposal developers, active participants, researchers and others. As such, it contains a record of proposals, activities, results and lessons learned from the World Bank's infoDev Program.
