Without adequate shelter, it is difficult to access livelihood opportunities, safety, education, civic services, health care or even drinkable water - all of which are integral to sustainable development. The articles in this section look at the housing situation of peoples around the world and the implications of homelessness to sustainable development. Issues of building sustainable housing are also addressed.
